Xerjoff Naxos vs Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille
Both fragrances stand on the same pair of notes — tobacco and vanilla — and both are considered winter classics. The difference is what surrounds that pair: honey and lavender in Naxos, dried fruit, cocoa and spices in Tobacco Vanille.

Naxos is in our range: lavender, bergamot and lemon up top, honey, cinnamon and jasmine sambac in the heart, tobacco leaf, vanilla and tonka in the base. The honey gives it a waxy density, and the citrus opening makes it less heavy than you'd expect. Tobacco Vanille is more direct — tobacco leaf and vanilla with spices, cocoa and dried fruit, with no bright introduction. So it comes across denser and more enveloping. Naxos costs €240 for 100 ml (€2.40/ml); a 5 ml decant is €24. We don't carry Tobacco Vanille. If you want tobacco with some air, take Naxos; if you want tobacco without a bright opening, Tobacco Vanille is closer.
Do you carry Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille?
No. From our range Naxos is the closest alternative, since it's built on the same pair of notes; what mainly differs is the opening, which is citrusy in Naxos.
Which is sweeter?
Tobacco Vanille. Dried fruit and cocoa add a density that Naxos, with honey and lavender, doesn't have.
Are they suitable for the office?
Not really. Both are dense and noticeable. If you wear them to work anyway, use one spray instead of three.
Which is the better choice for a beginner?
Naxos. The citrus opening and lavender make it less tiring for an unaccustomed nose.
When should I wear them?
Both are winter and evening fragrances. In summer tobacco and vanilla intensify on skin and quickly become too much.
