Purpose 50 — Amouage
Incense that grounds you.
Purpose 50 is the extrait of the original Purpose: half the liquid is perfume oil, and the focus sinks deeper into the base. Incense stays at the centre, with papyrus and sand vetiver beside it, while sandalwood adds a creamy, earthy woodiness. Vanilla pulls it close to the skin, so it smells personal rather than loud. Up top there's bergamot, pink pepper and allspice, rose softens it slightly, and the base holds saffron, suede, akigalawood and Mystikal. By Quentin Bisch.
