Jean Paul Gaultier Ultramale vs Le Male Le Parfum
Same brand, same origin, two completely different upgrades. Ultramale is an EDT: pear, mint, lavender and lemon up top, cinnamon and sage in the heart, vanilla, amber and patchouli underneath — so sweet and fresh at once. Le Male Le Parfum is Parfum concentration and goes another way: cardamom up top, lavender and iris in the heart, vanilla and woody notes underneath. The first is more playful, the second more composed. Both come in 200 ml bottles, which makes them among the most reasonably priced fragrances in our range.

Ultramale is a fragrance for your twenties and for evenings where there's nothing to prove — fruity-sweet, friendly and instantly likeable. Le Male Le Parfum is the same DNA, refined: cardamom and iris give it a structure Ultramale doesn't have, while the vanilla stays. If you have Ultramale and are thinking about an upgrade, Le Parfum is the logical next step, not a duplicate. Price-wise the decision is easy: 5 ml of Le Parfum is €9, Ultramale €10. At these amounts there's no point guessing — take both and let your skin decide.
Which has better projection?
Le Male Le Parfum, and the reason is the concentration. Parfum has more perfume oil than an EDT, which means greater density and a longer presence. With mint and lemon up top, Ultramale is more noticeable in the first hour, but recedes faster later on.
Is Ultramale suitable for younger wearers?
The fruity-sweet profile with pear and vanilla is indeed popular with a younger generation, but that's not an age limit. With cardamom and iris, Le Male Le Parfum is more restrained and fits better if you're looking for something more serious.
Is either suitable for summer?
Ultramale more so, thanks to the mint and lemon up top, but both have vanilla in the base, which in summer means more presence. One spray in the evening is a sensible limit for both.
Is it worth having both?
At these prices it's a fair option, but they won't cover two different occasions — they're too closely related. If you want two fragrances that really complement each other, take one of these and something from a completely different family.
