Xerjoff Naxos vs Kilian Angel's Share Paradis
Both are considered warm, sweet and wintry, and both often appear on the same recommendation list. What separates them is the source of the sweetness: honey and tobacco in Naxos, cognac, caramel and praline in Angels' Share.

Naxos opens with lavender and citrus, has honey, cinnamon and jasmine sambac in the heart, and tobacco leaf, vanilla and tonka underneath. Honey is what you recognise it by — dense, a little waxy, no fruit. Angels' Share has raspberry, cognac and liqueur up top, tonka, Bulgarian rose and caramel in the heart, and oak, praline and moss in the base. The boozy note gives it a dry edge Naxos doesn't have. The price difference is large: Naxos costs €240 for 100 ml (€2.40/ml), Angels' Share €385 (€3.85/ml). With decants the ratio is even more pronounced — 5 ml is €24 against €41.99.
Which is the better choice if I like sweet fragrances?
It depends on what bothers you about sweetness. If fruity notes get on your nerves, take Naxos. If honey is too heavy for you, take Angels' Share.
Which is better for the office?
Neither especially. If you have to choose, Naxos is more manageable with fewer sprays; Angels' Share, with cognac and praline, quickly becomes noticeable.
Why is Angels' Share more expensive?
It's an extrait, while Naxos is an eau de parfum, and Kilian is also a pricier house. Per millilitre the difference is €3.85 against €2.40.
Are both unisex?
In our database Angels' Share is listed as unisex and Naxos as masculine. In practice women wear Naxos too, because of the honey and vanilla.
Which is more recognisable?
Naxos. It's more common in the fragrance community, so there's a greater chance someone will recognise it. Angels' Share is less widespread.
