Elle K Myrrh K vs Al Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco Edition
Both fragrances do the same thing: a sweet, spiced Eastern dessert. The difference is the price, and it isn't small — Myrrh K costs €285 for a hundred millilitres, Al Haramain €60. That's almost five times as much, so the question on this page is simple: what do you get for the difference, and will you even hear it on your skin.

Myrrh K is more precise and more detailed: pomegranate and frangipani up top, honey, dates, halva, sesame and saffron in the heart, myrrh with vanilla and tonka underneath. It's an Eastern dessert described by its ingredients, not its mood. Al Haramain follows the same idea, but with three strokes instead of ten — cinnamon and tobacco up top, cocoa and tonka in the heart, sweet dried fruit underneath. If you don't know either, you'll hear the similarity in the first minutes; the difference shows after two hours, when Myrrh K is still telling its story and Al Haramain is still what it was at the start. Whether that's worth five times the price depends on how closely you follow fragrances — which is exactly why decants at €27 and €12 are a better first move than any bottle.
Why is there no longevity data for Myrrh K?
Because the fragrance is from 2026 and there are too few community ratings to make a range from them. We don't measure longevity ourselves and won't guess it — once there are enough independent ratings, the row will be filled in.
Is Al Haramain a copy of Myrrh K?
No. They're two independent fragrances with the same starting idea — a sweet Eastern dessert. Al Haramain came out earlier and wasn't modelled on Myrrh K; the similarity is in the category, not the formula.
Which is better as a gift?
Myrrh K, if the recipient already wears sweet orientals and presentation matters to you. Al Haramain is the better choice when you don't know their taste — at €60 a mistake doesn't hurt; at €285 it does.
Are they suitable for summer?
Neither. Honey, halva, tobacco and cocoa are heavy notes that gain in the heat. Both are winter and evening fragrances, which goes for almost this entire category.
What exactly do I get for the price difference?
Development over the hours and more layers. Myrrh K has thirteen notes against seven, including myrrh and saffron, both expensive materials. What you don't get is a guarantee you'll hear that difference on your skin — only a decant tells you that.
